He was the Founder of Heroic Ventures, a first-money and seed-stage fund built around deeply technical founders. Over the past decade, Matt has backed 100+ startups, with numerous IPOs, M&A exits, and existing portfolio unicorns.

Matt has two college-age sons, lives in Palo Alto with his wife, and spends his free time skiing and fly fishing.
